Censorship

My final year dissertation at university was on the subject of censorship. It wasn’t very good and tended to shuffle between various topic areas and never really getting to a point. After meandering through political censorship and propaganda (censorship to protect idealism and supress opposition to established authorities) and a quick fumble around with artistic censorship (censorship to protect people from being encouraged to partake in anti-social activities such as, for example, tying people to a railway track and then burning them for fun) I sort of stumbled into a conclusion along the following lines:

In an ideal world, there would be no censorship. This is not an ideal world and some censorship is required, mainly because some people are far too stupid for their own good and need to be prevented from watching something that will encourage them to act in a socially irresponsible and unacceptable manner. Oh, and political censorship is right out.

Well, something like that anyway!

Anyway, what all this is boiling down to is that I have decided to classify my blog.

On behalf of the Draconian Board of Blog Classification, this is to certify that headCleaner() is passed for viewing with the following certificate:

Contains strong language, references to drug taking, demands for sex, alcoholism, babbling inanities, sweeping generalisations, half-hearted political viewpoints, comic violence, bad jokes, links to strange people, pictures and words.

You know, I was thinking about setting up a separate blog for the ruder stuff I don’t post (in case my 9 year old niece or even worse my father were to read it) and you’ve just reminded me. If you don’t use the logo permanently can I steal it please? ;0-))

The 18 logo? Feel free! I nabbed it from the BBFC website at http://www.bbfc.org. They’ve got all of them there including the R18 logo. (That’s the one for really hardcore stuff!)
