Here Be Dragons
Dragons have never been that well portrayed in films. I don’t mean that they’ve been demeaned but simply that there hasn’t been a really good dragon. The Sean Connery voiced Draco in “Dragonheart” was okay, if a little too cutesy (and prone to changing in size and was obviously inspired by a cat if you watch the way he walks). Reign of Fire, a film all about dragons, was fairly good but was lacking in too many ways. Dragonslayer was a bundle of fun but I was never that impressed by the beast in it.
However, this picture of the Hungarian Horntail from the forthcoming “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” is pretty damn good (if a little large - the picture that is). Perhaps a little too horny for my particular tastes but there’s something about it’s stance, it’s face and expression that reminds me of the covers of Dungeons and Dragons books from way back in the early 80’s. Of course, it’s still only a picture but it looks pretty damn good to me.
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is due for release on 17th November.

Is there going to be a continuation of that post?
*grin*
