This and that
Did it rain last night? I’m guessing it did because our village looked like it had been flooded - there was shit everywhere (and not the usual horse shit that we’re used to).
It’s difficult writing here when I refuse to write about anything personal or serious. I don’t seem to do that much. That’s probably because I don’t do much and because, since August, I’ve got totally addicted to this game which is time sapping and life destroying. It’ll probably ruin my marraige too but meh, shit happens. I’m not going to extol the virtues of SWG because it’ll make me out to be a bigger geek and loser than I already feel like, but needless to say it occupies me and is social in a way that previous forays into online gaming never did. The major downside is that it’s a margin more addictive than cocaine.
It’s only a month until Tough Guy and my training has been all but non-existent. This year’s theme is Pirates, but I’m not that tempted to dress up for it. I only wear black after all! By the way, anyone who is at a loose end on the 31st July and wants to come and watch, let me know. (I somehow doubt there’ll be many take-ups on that offer but, hey, if you don’t ask…) I’m hoping to get down to Sevitz’s Braai the day before although my strict training regime (you know, the one I haven’t started yet) will mean I’ll be sober on the day. (Yeah, okay, whatever!) This will likely mean that, unlike the Christmas bash back in December, I’ll be shy, retiring and laconic. It also means I’m likely to bail at the last minute but you never know.
Life goes on.

Hmmm not sure you should bail, you seemed to quite enjoy yourself in December, and it was great to finally meet you. Where is this tough Guy going ahead, if I am not working I could trundle on down to support you. All you need to do is put a bandana around your head and you will be a pirate ;o)

Are you soliciting donations for tough guy this year? (Apoplexies if you’ve mentioned this before, I’m catching up).

There will be no bailage. I forbid it. Any complaints take it up with management.

Adrian - my management is bigger than your management. If she demands bailage, bailage there will be. But I have given the requisite pre-event notice and absence request in triplicate so it should be alright.
S - kind offer, but it’s near Wolverhampton so not quite down the road!
Razor - no, no donations this year. I have no sane excuse for doing it this time around - it’s just something I’ve got to do!
