Mice and Men (Best Laid Plans part 2)
I resigned this morning.
My manager’s first question was “Have you found another job?” My answer? “Nope. I’m going to be a gentleman of leisure.”
Well, as much leisure as is left over after looking after an 8 month old baby for 3 days a week.
I rule.

Well, it’s certainly change. That’s one of the criteria for progress, right?
Seriously though, I know how it is to be tempted to resign. I just don’t have the guts to do so until I have something else. Which would mean deciding what the something else should be, and so on…

Congrats on the resignation. I’m close to that point too.
All the best for whatever comes next!

Bravo. Good for you!
One day I’ll be in a position to do that… my day will come!

Rock on brother. You’ve sure got some muchos grandes cajones, I’ll give you that. I’d love to do that, but I actually like my job at the moment, which is a bit of a bummer.

Congrats. I’ve never had the guts to do what you’ve just done and have stayed in some horrendous jobs for way too long as a result.
Makes me realise how good I’ve got it in my current job.

Well done! Resigning takes a lot of courage. I’ve only done it once, but felt completely and utterly happy afterwards. And it’s only got better since then.
Well done again!

I’ve learnt that it’s important to stay in a job longer than you should and to also leave it before it’s too long.
Good luck with the future.

Resigning is great. I only join companies now if I think I’m going to get a good leaving present out of them.

Just wait. You’ll be champing at the bit to get back to work for a rest!
