Yesterday, as anybody who popped past may have noticed, this site had been terroristorsized by hackers who left (or at least, redirected the site to) a rather surreal and supremely garish page of Arabic text with links to Islamic sites (which, incidentally, did not in immediately appear to be Al Q. recruitment sites but simply innocuous informational sites about Islam).
It wasn’t actually my site alone that got hit - my hosts websites were also affected. A brief bit of investigation leads me to the conclusion that they posioned my hosts well DNS cache and probably set their oil wells on fire too. I don’t know if there was a particular reason for the attack beyond a random hack - certainly Endie couldn’t understand how come I write about Tough Guy and he gets all political yet I’m the one “marked for web based execution.”
Perhaps the answer lies in the full text of the page (which was screencapped by Pix and can be seen here) and reads something like this:

A reasoned and well thought out debate I’m sure you’ll agree and implies that they were upset at the extreme amounts of pr0n that either I or my host (as they were the main target) clearly force down your throats. Either that or it’s a publicity stunt by Nick Holder (although it doesn’t make it clear if it’s Nick Holder the English Actor or Nick Holder the Canadian DJ).
Normal service has been resumed today and there doesn’t seem to be much in the way of side-effects apart from one strange little thing: it seems that this Atic Hack Atac has re-awoken the dormant beast.
Dragon is back and the War on Terror is coming to a blog near you, right now.

I must admit I was mighty confused when my RSS reader came back with “xml parse error” (or something, might have been “url not available”), and I clicked through to your blog to see what was going on.
If it wasn’t for Pix I wouldn’t have had a clue.
Fuckers.
Hackers do some funny/cool things sometimes, but this sort of thing is just pointless, and stupid.

You must admit that that’s a dangerously seductive argument.
Mind you, when Al Qaeda triumphs and the Caliphate is imposed, I don’t imagine they can do anything more unpleasant to you than that Nettle Warrior mularkey.
