Director’s Cut
I’ve been messing around with my film a little more and added a soundtrack to it. I’m quite pleased because I managed to find a piece of music that is not only the right length but also amazingly suitable for the video. Not only that but I can use it freely under the Creative Commons license.
The track is called “All I See It Burns My Eyes” from the Mindwatcher album by Atmosfear. I found it on Jamendo which is a site that lets (unsigned?) artists upload and share their music for free. It’s proved very useful for this and is a site I’ll definitely keep looking at for future projects.
Anyway, here it is: A Very English Fairy Tale - Special Edition.

I liked it. I don’t know why I guessed the Goldilocks thng early on - the title, I suppose - but I can’t wait for the director’s cut where we see suggestions that Goldilocks herself was a bear.
As an aside, I was actually quite disturbed when I saw the momentary glimpse of the mother and child in the corner of the room, i suppose since I didn’t see them move there, and was uncertain if they had always been there, whether they were even “real”. It gave me quite a Blair Witch moment (apologies, since I seem to remember that you hated that movie). Once the actual nature of the narrative was confirmed, of course, rewatching didn’t yield the same effect when they appeared.

Thanks Endie. However, no - there will never be a cut where Goldie is suggested to be a bear nor will the bears get replaced by CGI and Daddy Behr didn’t shoot first.
I have no problem with comparisons to Blair Witch as you said you liked it. If you said you hated it and said this reminded you of it, then I’d be a little more put out.

Sorry I can’t elaborate on the “weird and interesting” coment on the original post, that’s just what it is. Weird. And also interesting.
And the music definitely makes it better! Adds a lot. Music done right makes a good film a great one.
