Hi anx! Believe it or not, I don't wear a watch day to day anyway (mainly because I'm too lazy to get the straps on them fixed!) and don't wear one while running either. I have to stop myself looking at the clock before and afterwards I think. But then again, it is useful - if I know I've run, say, 6 miles in an hour then I can work out my average speed (duh) and the calories I've burnt and the rest of it.

Ah well, I have a 5 mile race in a week anyway so that'll give me a valid excuse to check the time!

I know what you mean - it's hard not to look at the time, but at this stage of the training, it's more about distance, isn't it? How about leaving your watch/GPS at home ;o)

Yeah, it is. It's a habit more than anything and it just irritates me that I can't seem to get it out of my head whenever I run.

i never worry about times when I run, as long as you're feeling good (or just ok?) that's all that matters isn't it?
