It turns out I got there just in time: by now it will be completely redeveloped into luxury apartments. The work had begun when I got there, but enough of the building remained untouched to lend it a menacing aura, perched on the hill. Goodness knows who will by luxury aprtments there anyway, situated as it is just up the hill from the modern and very active secure mental unit.
