Blade Runner is also one of His' favourites. For many years I searched to find him the CD, and although it was second hand when I tracked down a copy I still beleive it is possibly the best present I bought ever. Something that he did point out to me recently on an Aliens theme (but look closely at the scrolling tees) was a particular place called Last Exit to Nowhere http://lastexittonowhere.com/

My copy of the "Final Cut" is currently waiting for me to pick it up from the post office. I intend to do this tomorrow, and will let you know the difference, if there is anything majorly different.

Tangentially, a friend of mine has created a series of amazing mixtapes entitled "The Twilight Stone", volume 4 of which he gave to me a few months ago. The last track (of vol. 4) has the Roy Batty "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe" scene (nearly all of it) mixed with Depeche Mode's "Personal Jesus", and the two sync up amazingly well. I'll send it to you sometime, I'm sure you'll absolutely love it.

At risk of heresy, I really don't like Blade Runner. I've seen it a couple of times now - once "original" with the voice over, and once without, but I don't know, I just don't like the film.

It's OK, but personally I'd far rather watch Alien/ Aliens or something. *shrug*

Little known fact. This is the first film I watched, not in a cinema, that was blasting through a surround sound system. We rewound that opening scene over and over, amazed as the spacecraft flew PAST us in the room. Awesome.

Only watched it a couple of times but yes, I don't have it on DVD and looky, Xmas is approaching. Yay.
